Our Staff

Meet the friendly staff at All Creatures Small!

  • Camille Telleen
    DVM
    Owner

    Years in Practice: 32

Education: Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine

Camille grew up on a small farm in northeast Iowa and early on discovered a kinship with animals. In the third grade she made the decision that she wanted to be a veterinarian when she grew up and it stuck with her. She graduated from ISU with a degree in Animal Science and went on to Veterinary School also at ISU. Camille worked at small animal hospitals in Peoria and Des Moines for the first couple of years after graduation before starting her own here in Indianola, where her husband and her  moved back to in order to live on her grandparent’s farm, which will become a century farm in 2030. Camille raised three kids there as well as countless animals of numerous species.
Even though she have been practicing veterinary medicine for decades now, she is still sure she made the right choice for a career. She still loves animals and she still loves learning. Veterinary medicine has advanced dramatically in the past thirty some years that she has been out of school and there are endless possibilities in the future. In true nerd form she actually really enjoys attending continuing education events. She also loves to read, garden (badly), travel and spend time with my own animals, friends and family.
